Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 75-year-old Chatham man has been charged with uttering threats following an incident in the city.
Police said officers responded to a residence on McNaughton Avenue West at approximately 4:41 p.m. on June 17 after receiving a report that a man had made a threatening gesture during an argument.
According to investigators, the complainant alleged the accused ran his thumb across his throat, causing her to fear for her safety.
The man was arrested and charged with uttering threats.
He was later released from custody with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on July 27.
