Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 32-year-old Chatham woman is facing charges following an intimate partner violence investigation.
Chatham-Kent police said officers responded to a disturbance on Harvey Street at about 4:05 p.m. on June 17.
Investigators learned an argument occurred between former common-law partners following the end of their relationship. Police allege the woman pushed the victim and prevented him from leaving the residence.
The woman was arrested and charged with assault and forcible confinement.
She was later released from custody with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on July 28.
