William Joseph Johnson, a member of Walpole Island First Nation, passed away at his home in Windsor on Monday, June 22, 2026 at the age of 54. He was the loving son of the late Joseph and Verna Johnson. Dear brother to Michelle (Stafford) Day, Judy Councilman, and the late Sonya Johnson, Aletta Johnson, Daniel Johnson, and Clark “Beezer” Peters. He will be missed dearly by his cat Bezhic as well as his many nieces and nephews. William enjoyed working as a guide, most often found hunting or fishing at his favourite spot 2 Trees Pond. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at the Walpole Island United Church on Tuesday, June 30 from 5pm until 8pm. Cremation to follow.
