OPP officials allege: A 67-year-old man has died following a drowning at South Beach in Grand Bend.
Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police and Lambton Emergency Medical Services responded to the beach at about 2:40 p.m. on June 28 after receiving a report of an unresponsive person in the water.
Police said bystanders located the man in the water, brought him to shore and began life-saving measures.
The man was taken to South Huron Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation is continuing. Ontario Provincial Police said more information will be released as it becomes available.
Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Lambton OPP or Crime Stoppers.
