With heavy hearts we announce that Pamela Shepley (nee Mouritsen) passed away peacefully from Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis on Friday, June 26, 2026 at the age of 73. Pam was a beloved wife to Richard Shepley and the late Robert Murrell (2012) and survived by her son Ryan Murrell (Courtney) and their children Bailey (Emma), Lilly-Anne (Nick) and Michael Murrell, her step-daughter Leigh-Ann Burke (Jeremey), their children Chloe and Lexi and her step-son Michael Murrell. She will be loved and greatly missed by Rick’s children Todd Shepley (Johnathan), Kristen Williams, Stacy Shepley, their 6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and by Rick’s siblings Donna (the late Bill Gilhuly), Charles (Katherine) Shepley and the late Dale Shepley.
Pam is the daughter of the late Wes and Lola (Clark) Mouritsen and a dear sister of Michael (Lucille) Mouritsen, Sally (Norm) Dumouchelle and Wendy (Gary) Corriveau. She will also be fondly remembered and missed by her nieces Catherine and Nicole as well as by her sister-in-law Cathy Schulz.
Her Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady Help of Christians Church Friday, July 17, 2026 at 11am under the care of the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231). Her family would like to invite everyone to join them following mass at the Glasstown Brewery for a time of fellowship and reception. Pam will be laid to rest beside her first husband Robert at Maple Leaf Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of sending flowers, please consider making a donation to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation in her memory.
