If you couldn’t make it out this time—you were truly missed!
But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Grab a coffee, get comfortable, and catch up on all the celebrations below with our AGM 2026 Recognition awards and the inspiring President’s Message. Thank you for bringing so much heart and energy to the Wallaceburg Adult Activity Centre!
RECOGNITION – AGM 2026
Before I begin my President’s Message, I would like to recognize the people whose dedication, generosity, and participation make the Wallaceburg Adult Activity Centre what it is today. Each contributes in different ways, but together they create the sense of community, connection, and belonging that makes our Centre so special.
Let me begin by recognizing our members. You are the reason this Centre exists. Every friendship formed here, every class filled, and every laugh shared over coffee or a game of cards helps create the welcoming community we are so proud of. Thank you for your support, your participation, and your belief in what our Centre can be.
I would also like to recognize our staff:
Robyn Wesley, our new Centre Manager. Robyn has brought energy, professionalism, and strong leadership to our organization. She has embraced the opportunities and challenges of her new role with enthusiasm. I am grateful for the leadership and partnership she has already demonstrated, and I look forward to what we will accomplish together.
Silke Meraw, Program Assistant. Silke has played an important role in supporting a smooth transition and helping Robyn settle into her new role. Her positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to step up whenever needed have made a real difference.
To our Program Instructors, thank you for bringing our programs to life. Through your knowledge, enthusiasm, and commitment, you help our members stay active, engaged, and connected.
To our Volunteers, thank you for your generosity and willingness to serve. Your countless hours of support and your commitment to helping others are at the heart of this organization.
Strong organizations also depend on strong governance. To my fellow Board Members, thank you for your guidance, leadership, and commitment to the long-term success of our Centre. I have had the privilege of working alongside this volunteer Board this year and have seen firsthand the time, thought, and care that goes into every decision made on behalf of our members.
We also recognize the many volunteer Board members, volunteers, staff, and supporters who came before us. Their vision, commitment, and hard work built the foundation on which we continue to grow today.
The collective efforts of our Members, Staff, Instructors, Volunteers, Board and those who served before us make the Wallaceburg Adult Activity Centre far more than a building — they make it a community. Please join me in showing them our appreciation.
Thank you.
