Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 37-year-old Chatham-Kent woman is facing numerous charges after police responded to a report of threats in Wallaceburg.
Chatham-Kent police said officers were called to a Gillard Street address at about 7:46 p.m. on July 1 after receiving a report that a woman had threatened to pepper spray another person.
Police said the woman was arrested for uttering threats. During a search following the arrest, officers allegedly found a firearm and suspected fentanyl.
The 37-year-old woman has been charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, resisting a peace officer, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a prohibited device or ammunition, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, carrying a concealed weapon, trafficking in a Schedule 1 opioid other than heroin, five counts of possession of a Schedule 1 opioid other than heroin for the purpose of trafficking and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
She was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
