Kim Frederick Strain, son of Fred and Elsie Strain, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 10, 2026 at the age of 70 years, surrounded by his loving children at his home on Cedar Hedge Line in Dresden, where he spent much of his life.
Kim was a devoted father, proud grandfather, skilled mechanic, farmer, and loyal friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind his beloved children, Chad Strain, Casey Strain, Alyssa Strain, and Cody Strain, who were the center of his world and his greatest source of pride.
He will also be lovingly remembered by his cherished grandchildren: McKenzie, Teagan, Lily, Kingston, Payton, Paisley, Bentley, Lincoln, Nova, Kayla, Jordan, Cooper, and Carter. Each of them held a special place in his heart.
Through his passing, Kim is reunited with his beloved Cheri Hope, whom he missed dearly.
Kim had a lifelong passion for farming and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. One of his proudest accomplishments was owning Pro Cycle, where he dedicated his talent and hard work to fixing and restoring motorcycles. He was known for his skilled hands, strong work ethic, and willingness to help others. Whether in the field, the shop, or spending time with family, Kim lived a life built on love, loyalty, and dedication.
Above all else, Kim’s greatest love was his family. The memories he created, the lessons he shared, and the love he gave so freely will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Arrangements entrusted to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington St. West, Chatham, 519-352-2710. Cremation will take place. Family and friends are invited to a graveside service that will be held on Monday July 13th, 2026 at 11 am at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
