It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Harold Wesley “Popsi” Lewis, who passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026, with his loving family by his side.
Harold was predeceased by his loving parents, Archie Lewis & Dorothy Martin. Wes leaves behind the love of his life and devoted wife of 27 years, Theresa Lewis, along with the family who meant everything to him; his children Shawn Lewis, Rebecca Lewis, Trish and Sylvester Coley, Melissa and Jared Bond, and Mike and Jessica Lambert.
His greatest joy in life was his family, especially his cherished grandchildren, Zach Acosta-Lambert and Lexi Riehl, whom he loved beyond measure. Wes now joins his cherished grandchildren, Nevaeh and Kristian Coley, who were welcomed into heaven before birth. He also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
Wes dedicated many years of hard work to Libbey’s Canada Glass Factory before retiring to enjoy the life he had worked so hard for. Retirement gave him more time to spend with the people he loved most and to enjoy the simple pleasures that brought him happiness.
He had a deep love for nature and could often be found birdwatching or appreciating the beauty of the outdoors. Known by many as “Mr. Fix-It,” there wasn’t much he couldn’t repair. Whether it was fixing something around the house or lending a helping hand to a friend or neighbor, Wes was always there when someone needed him.
Wes loved making memories with his wife and family. He enjoyed adventures, spending time together, and especially looked forward to his tropical vacations, where he found peace, sunshine, and happiness.
Above all else, Wes loved his family unconditionally. He was incredibly proud of each one of them and built a beautiful legacy of kindness, strength, generosity, and unwavering love that will live on in their hearts forever.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the countless memories he gave us and the example he set for all who knew him.
Fly high, Dad.
Enjoy the warm tropical beaches you loved so much. Until we meet again, you will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever in our hearts.
The late Harold Wesley “Wes” Lewis rested at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg.
Following his wishes, cremation will take place. A celebration of Wes’ life will be held later.
