Leamington man charged with impaired driving after Blenheim domestic disturbance

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 42-year-old Leamington man is facing an impaired driving charge after leaving the scene of a domestic disturbance in Blenheim Wednesday night.

Chatham-Kent police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a Blenheim residence at approximately 11:17 p.m. on July 15, 2026. Before officers arrived, the man involved left the residence in a vehicle.

Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.

The driver was arrested after providing breath samples that registered over the legal limit.

He was charged with operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80 mg.

The accused was released with conditions and a scheduled court date for August 25, 2026.
