Three youths facing charges following investigation in Lambton County

OPP officials allege: Three youths have been charged following an incident in Lambton County.

The Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police says officers responded shortly after 10 p.m. on July 19, 2026, to a report of mischief at a residence in Petrolia.

A 16-year-old, a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old, all from Lambton County, have been charged under the Criminal Code with mischief — destroys or damages property.

Two of the teens are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia at a later date. The 14-year-old was held for a bail hearing and has been remanded into custody until a later date.

The identities of the youths are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Police are asking anyone with information about the investigation to contact Lambton OPP at 1-888-310-1122, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477, where tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
