Police training exercises will be conducted at Georges P. Vanier School, located at 20 Cecile Avenue, Chatham, on July 27, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
During this time, residents may notice an increased police presence in the area. The exercises will include realistic sound effects, which may be audible to nearby neighbours.
Members of the public are advised that this is a training exercise. There is no cause for alarm. To ensure the safety and effectiveness of the training, the public is asked to avoid the immediate area while the exercises are underway.
Police say they appreciate the public’s understanding and cooperation as officers take part in the training exercise.
