The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is pleased to announce that two Chatham-Kent museums have received funding through the Young Canada Works in Heritage Organizations program to support two student positions during the 2026 summer season.
The Municipality of Chatham-Kent gratefully acknowledges the Government of Canada for its investment in youth employment and heritage preservation through this important program.
The Young Canada Works program helps young Canadians gain meaningful work experience, develop valuable professional skills, and explore careers in the heritage sector while supporting museums and cultural organizations across the country.
The student positions will play an important role in delivering visitor experiences at Ridge House Museum and Milner Heritage House. Students will assist with guided tours, public programming, and special events, helping connect residents and visitors with Chatham-Kent’s rich local history.
The Municipality of Chatham-Kent thanks the Government of Canada for its continued support of heritage organizations and opportunities for young people to build skills while contributing to the preservation and interpretation of Canada’s shared heritage.
