Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 31-year-old Wallaceburg man is facing an impaired driving charge after police responded to a report of a possible impaired driver on McNaughton Avenue, Chatham-Kent police say.
Police were contacted at 8:50 p.m. on Aug. 9 and located the man in a parking lot. An officer requested a breath sample using an approved screening device, which registered a fail, police say.
The man was arrested and taken to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters for further testing, which revealed a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit, according to police.
He is facing a charge of operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. He was released on a Form 10 with a court date of Sept. 14.
