Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A Wallaceburg woman is facing an impaired driving charge after police responded to a report of an erratic driver in a Grand Avenue parking lot in Chatham.
Chatham-Kent police say officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 10:32 p.m. on August 11, 2026.
Upon arrival, police requested the driver provide a breath sample into an approved screening device. After the device registered a “fail,” the woman was arrested and taken to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters for further testing, which revealed a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit.
As a result, the 32-year-old woman is facing a charge of operation while impaired — blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
She was released on a Form 10 with a court date set for September 21, 2026.
