Chatham woman charged after threatening to burn neighbour’s tent

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 50-year-old Chatham woman is facing a charge after allegedly threatening to burn down a neighbouring tent, Chatham-Kent police say.

Officers were called to an address on Irwin Street in Chatham at approximately 6:14 p.m. Tuesday regarding a threats complaint.

Police say their investigation found the woman had made threats to burn down a neighbouring tent.

She was arrested and charged with uttering threats to cause damage to property.

The accused was taken to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters, where she was held pending a bail hearing.
