Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 43-year-old Chatham-Kent man is facing a charge after police say he refused to leave a downtown Chatham doorway Wednesday night.
Chatham-Kent police said officers were conducting a property check on Queen Street on Aug. 26 at approximately 11:11 p.m. when they located a man lying in the doorway of a building.
Officers asked the man to leave the premises, but he refused, police said.
The man was arrested for fail to leave premises when directed under the Trespass to Property Act. He was removed from the property and issued a Provincial Offences Notice.
