With heavy hearts we announce that Rosa Mary John (Girimonte), left us peacefully on Sunday September 20, 2026 to be reunited with her beloved husband Claude John (2001). She leaves behind her children Michael John (Jessica) and Stephenie John, her grandchildren Jordan Lallean (Sarah), Jeffrey Lallean, Jacob Lallean (Bella), Claudia Lallean and her great grandchildren Octavia and Ivy.

Beloved daughter of the late Giovanni Girimonte and Maria Girimonte (nee Guido) and a dear sister to Anthony “Tony” Girimonte (Dawn), Anna Campagna (Dario), Rita Lumsden (Jim) and the late Salvatore Girimonte and the late Frank Girimonte (Cathy). Beloved daughter-in-law of the late Vera and Russell John.

She will be remembered fondly by her many nieces and nephews as well as Claude’s extended family and by the community on Walpole Island First Nation.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231) on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 from 4pm until the time of her funeral service at 6pm. If you so desire, donations to the Windsor Essex Cancer Centre Foundation would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
