The St. Clair Catholic District School Board has announced Lisa Thompson-Power of Chatham-Kent as the winner of this year’s Back-to-School 50/50 Raffle. Thompson-Power’s ticket, B-16547, was drawn as the lucky winner, earning her a prize of $14,920, half of the $29,840 jackpot.
St. Clair Catholic Education Foundation raffles are held throughout the year and support student programs and school initiatives across the district. This year’s Back-to-School Raffle saw strong participation from families, staff and community members, resulting in strong fundraising totals at schools across the system.
The top-earning schools for the 2026 Back-to-School Raffle were St. Patrick’s Catholic High School, at $2,990; Ursuline College Chatham, at $2,870; St. Angela Merici Catholic School, at $2,130; Monsignor Uyen Catholic School, at $1,600; St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic School, at $1,590; St. Anne Catholic School in Blenheim, at $1,520; and Gregory A. Hogan Catholic School, at $1,330.
“The incredible support shown through our Back-to-School 50/50 Raffle is a beautiful example of our St. Clair Catholic community living out our mission of believing, achieving, and accompanying,” said Lisa Demers, CEO and chief education officer of St. Clair Catholic. “We are grateful to everyone who contributed to the success of this raffle and for their ongoing commitment to Catholic education.”
With the Back-to-School draw complete, the board is preparing for its next major fundraiser. The Christmas Raffle is set to launch in mid-October, offering another opportunity for families and supporters to participate while helping enhance student experiences across the district.
