Elizabeth Dauw

Elizabeth passed away peacefully at her home in Battle Ground, WA, on the morning of May 5th, 2026 at the age of 66 years, after a courageous two year battle with pancreatic cancer. Liz was born and raised in Wallaceburg and was a daughter of the late Martha and Frank Dauw, granddaughter of the late Felix and Bertha (Genyn) Dauw and Victor and Gladys Horvath and niece of the late Elizabeth (Bettee) Dauw. Liz was the loving sister of Valerie (William Kinsella) Dauw, Diane (Jerry) Vervaecke, Richard (Deb) Dauw, Gregory (Jolie White) Dauw and David (Carol) Dauw. Also survived by her nieces and nephews Alisha (John Cilletti) Dauw, Tiffany (Chris) Cadotte, Jeremy (Kristy) Dauw, Ryan, Steven and Eric Dauw, Jill (Gerald) Hoekstra, Stacey (Duane Lyons) Vervaecke and great nieces and nephews Ethan, Spencer, Olivia, Aria, Karter, Max and Adelaide. Liz will be forever loved and remembered by her best friend and life partner for over 25 years Michael Osenga and her furry kitty, Athena. Liz graduated at Ursuline College (the Pines), in Chatham. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours, specialized music degree at York University in Toronto. She graduated with a Masters of Music Orchestral Conducting and Piano Performance at the New Mexico State University. Elizabeth’s life was filled with travel, adventure, music, artistic expression and a love for animals. Liz spent time as a website designer with Intel and eventually started her own successful web design business. Liz obtained her real estate license and spent her last years of her life involved in real estate while continuing with her music career. She took on the additional challenge of learning to play the saxophone to expand her music horizons and began painting as a hobby. Following her wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a Celebration of Life for Elizabeth (Liz) Dauw at the Glasstown Brewing Co. in Wallaceburg on Saturday, October 17, 2026 from 1-4 p.m.
