Shreve: Delia (Carter), a resident of Dresden, passed away peacefully at Copper Terrace, Chatham on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at the age of 94. Born in Chatham, daughter of the Late William Josephus Carter and Marion Evadne Richardson. Delia was a member of Union Baptist Church and was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #113, Dresden. Beloved wife of the late Orion Shreve. Loving mother of Anita Holmes of Dresden and Michael Holmes of North Carolina. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Natalie Nemeth, Lucas Nemeth (Becky), Emma Holmes and Evan Holmes. Dear sister of Roger Carter (Shirley). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Jeanne Highgate and a brother Dr. George Carter. The Shreve family will receive friends at the Badder Funeral Home and Reception Centre, 679 North St., Dresden on Friday evening from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 11:00AM. Cremation will follow with Interment in North Buxton Cemetery at a later date.
