Wallaceburg man charged with stunt driving on Highway 40

OPP officials allege: A 45-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with stunt driving after being clocked at 142 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on St. Clair Road.

The Elgin OPP detachment stopped the vehicle on St. Clair Road, also known as Highway 40, in Chatham-Kent on Saturday, Sept. 26, at approximately 10 a.m.

The man was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with stunt driving for excessive speed and speeding. His vehicle was impounded for 14 days, and his driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days.
