The Municipality of Chatham-Kent has launched a new online application platform, called eProval, designed to make it easier for community organizations and event organizers to apply for municipal grants and special event approvals.
The platform is now live for Together CK Grant applications, allowing applicants to submit applications, upload supporting documents and track their progress. Applications can be submitted at apply.chatham-kent.ca, and the current intake remains open until Oct. 31.
Special event applications will follow a phased approach. Beginning this fall, experienced event organizers hosting seasonal events between October and December will take part in a pilot phase, with full implementation scheduled for January 2027. The municipality says the rollout will allow staff to test workflows and gather feedback before expanding the system.
eProval is part of a three-year pilot project approved by council in January 2026 and will replace processes that have relied on paper forms, emails, spreadsheets and several different online platforms. The municipality says it is expected to provide one centralized location for applications, automated status updates, more efficient coordination between departments and enhanced reporting.
Training sessions for Together CK applicants included a virtual information session on Oct. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. and an in-person session scheduled on Oct. 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. More information is available on the municipality’s website.
