Downtown Wallaceburg B.I.A, businesses and community groups are joining forces to offer a full day of Halloween-themed activities in the heart of Wallaceburg on Oct. 31, giving residents of all ages a chance to celebrate the holiday from morning through the evening.
The festivities begin with Wallaceburg’s Boo Bash, running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Library Parking Lot in downtown Wallaceburg.
Designed as a family-friendly event, the Boo Bash will feature Halloween games from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., activities for children and families, and a visit from Chatham-Kent Police Service, who will be on hand to share Halloween safety information ahead of the evening’s trick-or-treating.
Visitors can also stop by Glasstown Brewing Company to enjoy apple bobbing and a 360-degree photo booth experience to capture Halloween-themed memories throughout the day.
The Whimsical Witches will be appearing from noon to 2 p.m., adding to the community celebration.
A Halloween costume contest is scheduled for 1 p.m. on the Glasstown Brewing Company patio stage, with participants encouraged to showcase their most creative, spooky or fun costumes.
The celebration will continue into the evening as downtown businesses team up for the Zombie Crawl beginning at 7 p.m. Participants will make stops at Branch 18 Legion, The Stubby Goat and Glasstown Brewing Company as part of the Halloween-themed pub crawl.
The Zombie Crawl will feature specialty drinks, a costume contest and a festive atmosphere for adults looking to continue the Halloween celebrations after the daytime family activities conclude.
Co-ordinator of the B.I.A Brandy Verbeem says it will be a full day of Halloween entertainment in downtown Wallaceburg, offering something for families during the day and adults in the evening while encouraging residents to shop local and support downtown businesses.
