Man charged with failing to comply
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On March 30, 2019 the man was released from custody with several conditions.
One of those conditions stated that he was not to attend within 100 metres of a business on King Street West in Chatham.
Shortly after 11 p.m. last night, an officer on general patrol observed the man in the area of the business.
The 45-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with failing to comply.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Woman charged with theft
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police responded to a theft complaint at residence in Chatham.
Through investigation, police learned that the homeowner’s daughter had stolen a couch.
Early this morning, the woman was located and arrested.
Upon being searched, she was also found to be in possession of hydromorphone.
The 25-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with theft under $5,000 and drug possession.
She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Man charged with drug related offences
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Earlier this month, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Section executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a business operating as ‘Radio Head Eddie’s’ on Queen Street in Chatham.
A 40-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with:
– Selling Cannabis to an Adult (6 counts)
– Unlawfully Possessing Cannabis for the Purpose of Selling it (7 counts)
He was released pending a future court date of May 16, 2019.
Electronics stolen from church in Dover Township
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime this week between Monday and Wednesday, unknown suspects forced their way into the New St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church on St. Andrew’s Line, causing about $2,000 damage.
Once inside, the suspects stole a laptop and projector, valued at approximately $1,200.

Copper wiring stolen from communication tower in Dover Township
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning, unknown suspects forced their way into a fenced compound on St. Andrew’s Line and cut ground wires to a communication tower, causing about $6,000 damage.
Approximately $400 worth of copper wiring was stolen.

Theft of tools in Blenheim
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime between Tuesday at 6 p.m. and yesterday at 4 p.m. unknown suspects entered a barn on Front Line and stole DeWalt cordless tools valued at approximately $3,000.

Traffic enforcement
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday, members of the Traffic Unit conducted traffic enforcement in the area of Bloomfield Road and Park Avenue in Chatham.
Two vehicles were stopped and charged with speeding.
