Minter of Labour, Training and Skills Development for Ontario Monte McNaughton is set to take part in a COVID-19 information session on Facebook LIVE on Thursday, April 16 at 12 p.m.
McNaughton, who is the MPP for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex, will join a panel with Chatham-Kent Mayor Darrin Canniff, Chatham-Kent Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Colby, Chatham-Kent CAO Don Shropshire and Chatham-Kent Health Alliance President and CEO Lori Marshall.
They will participate in the online question and answer session starting at 12 p.m.
The meeting will be livestreamed through the municipality’s Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/MunicCK/ where viewers will be able to submit questions through Facebook as the event unfolds.
Viewers will be also able to view the session on the Facebook site once it concludes.
Mayor Canniff said the session allows residents direct access to those in positions of authority as the community deals with the pandemic.
“It’s important for the community to be able to ask questions about the situation and how we’re responding to it,” Mayor Canniff said in a press release.
“The media has done a great job of keeping the public informed and this is one more way for us to accomplish that important goal.”
Anyone who wants to submit a question in advance can do so by emailing ckcommunications@chatham-kent.ca
