Police are looking for information from the public after a historic bell was stolen in Pain Court.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege sometime over the past couple of months, unknown suspects stole the S.S. #4 Dover School Bell from École Secondaire de Pain Court.
“It is believed that the 250-pound cast iron bell was at least 100 years old,” police officials said in a press release.
“The bell was donated by a local family and was an integral piece of the community’s history.”
