Boil water advisory in Pain Court

A boil water advisory has been issued in Pain Court.

Chatham-Kent Public Utilities Commission (PUC) officials say the advisory is for consumers on the Chatham-Kent Municipal Water Supply for a portion of Pain Court Line.

The reason for the boil water advisory is due to a water main break, PUC officials say.

Dr. David Colby, the Medical Officer of Health in Chatham-Kent, is advising residents to bring the water to a rolling boil for at least one minute prior to using it for domestic purposes, PUC officials added.

For example: drinking, making infant formula and juice, brushing teeth, washing raw foods and making ice.

“This advisory measure is in place until the Health Unit receives good results from two consecutive sets of samples taken a minimum of 24 hours apart, PUC officials said on social media.
