Lambton OPP issue public safety message, urge caregivers to speak to children about ‘stranger danger’

Lambton OPP officials allege: The Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are reminding area residents and visitors to the Lambton Shores area to be mindful of their surroundings and cautious of new acquaintances after receiving complaints between July 18 to July 24 in the Grand Bend and Pinery Provincial Park camping areas.

Officers are urging all parents and caregivers to keep a watchful eye on younger children, not allowing them to wander out-of-sight.

Also, for older children, reminding teens and young adults that there is safety in numbers within trusted friendship circles.

The investigations are ongoing and further information will be provided when it becomes available.
