Civic Holiday hours in C-K & at CKHA

Municipal offices and most services will be closed August 2 in recognition of Civic Holiday.

Other services are scheduled as follows:

Cemetery Operations: Cemetery staff will be on call for funeral homes who require at-need sales.

Ride CK: Seasonal Bus Route S1 (Beach Bus to Mitchell’s Bay and Erieau) will be running on Monday, August 2 at regular fares. No other public transit services are operating.

Emergency Services: Police, Fire and Ambulance are operational 24 hours a day, every day, and are accessible by dialling “911” for emergency calls only. The Fire Administration office will be closed on Monday August 2, re-opening on Tuesday August 3 at 8:30 a.m.

Arts and Culture: Chatham Capitol Theatre, Kiwanis Theatre, Chatham Cultural Centre, Chatham-Kent Museum, Thames Art Gallery, ARTspace, Milner Heritage House and Ridge House Museum will be closed August 2

Entegrus and Public Utilities Commission: PUC will be closed. The emergency call number is 519-352-6300.

Health and Family Services Building: The Health and Family Services building will be closed August 2, including the offices of Employment and Social Services, Housing Services, Child Care and Early Years, and Public Health. The Employment Resource Centres located at 240 King St. W., Chatham and 786 Dufferin Avenue, Wallaceburg are closed on August 2, and will reopen on August 3 for phone appointments by calling 519-436-1123 during normal business hours. The CK Public Health office at 177 King Street East, Chatham will be closed August 2.

Emergency Rapid Rehousing Program: The Homeless Response Line at 519-354-6628 for homeless emergencies within Chatham-Kent is operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

EarlyON and Child Care Subsidy: Is closed August 2.

Riverview Gardens: Reception and administrative offices will be closed August 2. Nursing staff can be reached 24/7 by calling 519-352-4823.

Libraries: All public libraries will be closed August 2.

Provincial Offences Court will be closed August 2. Regular business hours 8:30-4:30 p.m. will resume on August 3.

Recreation Services:

Pools: The Blenheim Gable Rees Rotary Pool, Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool and the 7 outdoor pools located in Chatham (3), Dresden, Ridgetown, Thamesville and Tilbury will be open with their regular schedule.

Arenas: Thames Campus Arena will be open for scheduled rentals. All other arenas are closed.

Waste and Recycling: Curbside garbage and recycling collection will be delayed by one day the week of August 2. Please refer to the Recycling and Waste Collection Guide for further details.

Transfer Stations: The Harwich Transfer Station and Wallaceburg Transfer Station will be closed August 2. All other transfer stations will be open regular hours and will not be affected by the holiday.

Leaf and Yard Depots: All Leaf & Yard Depots will be closed August 2.

Chatham-Kent Tourism: CK Tourism will be closed August 2. To access visitor information at any time, please visit www.visitck.ca.

Admin and Garage Facilities at 50 Siemens Dr. will be closed August 2.

CKHA

Some health care services offered at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance’s Chatham and Wallaceburg sites will be altered on Monday, August 2, 2021 in recognition of the Civic holiday.

All outpatient diagnostic tests will not be available on Monday, August 2, 2021. These departments will be staffed to meet the needs of inpatients and emergencies.

Ambulatory Care Services, Out-Patient Rehabilitation Services, Pre-Surgical Screening Services, Diabetes Education Centre, the TIA and CAD Clinics, Pulmonary Function Lab, Outpatient Lab Services, Health Records and Patient Appointment Offices will be closed on Monday, August 2, 2021.

The Chatham-Kent Mental Health and Addictions Program Outpatient Department will be closed on Monday, August 2, 2021. The Rapid Access to Addiction Medicine clinic will be closed on Monday, August 2, 2021. For any immediate crisis, please call the crisis line at 1-866-299-7447 or visit your nearest Emergency Room.

Elston Pharmacy, located at the Chatham Site, will be closed on Monday, August 2, 2021.

The Oncology/Chemotherapy Department will be closed on Monday, August 2, 2021.

The Business Office and Cashier’s Office will be closed on Monday, August 2, 2021. Please note there are two bill changers in the building to accommodate change for coin.

Hemodialysis Care will be open on Monday, August 2, 2021.

The COVID-19 Assessment Centre, located at the 10 Grand Avenue plaza in Chatham will be open on Monday, August 2, 2021.

The Emergency Departments at the Chatham and Wallaceburg sites will remain open 24 hours daily.
