Man charged with domestic related offences
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, police responded to a disturbance at a residence in Tilbury.
Through investigation, police learned that the man grabbed a kitchen knife and held it in a threatening manner during a verbal argument with his common-law wife and another man in the home.
The 55-year-old Tilbury man was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and two counts of being in possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing and remanded until August 26, 2021.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police responded to a disturbance at an apartment in Chatham.
Through investigation, police learned that the man assaulted his ex-girlfriend and threw a cell phone at her.
The 44-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with assault and assault with a weapon.
He was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for criminal harassment and assault.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Motor vehicle collisions
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning around 11:30 a.m. police responded to a two vehicle collision on St. Clair Street between Wiltshire Drive and McFarlane Avenue in Chatham.
No one was injured.
A 40-year-old Pain Court woman was charged with making a turn not in safety.
Total damage was estimated at $10,000.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, shortly after 4 p.m. police responded to a two vehicle collision, as a local man struck an unmarked police car on St. Clair Street in Chatham.
The 23-year-old Chatham man was charged with changing lanes not in safety.
No one was injured.
Total damage was estimated at $1,500.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Around 6 p.m. last night, police responded to a collision involving a car and bicycle on Park Avenue West in Chatham.
No one was injured.
The driver of the car was charged with starting from a stopped position not in safety.
The cyclist was charged with riding his bicycle on the sidewalk.
