Municipal offices and most services will be closed Friday April 15, and Monday April 18, 2022 in recognition of the Easter weekend.
Other services are scheduled as follows:
Cemetery Operations: Cemeteries staff will be available on call for funeral homes who are in need of at-need lot sales or interment orders.
RIDE CK: All Ride CK Transit services will not operate Friday April 15.
Emergency Services: Police, Fire and Ambulance are operational 24 hours a day, every day, and are accessible by dialling “911” for emergency calls only. The Fire Administration office will be closed on Friday, April 15 and Monday, April 18, re-opening on Tuesday, April 19 at 8:30 a.m.
Arts and Culture: Chatham Capitol Theatre, Kiwanis Theatre, Chatham Cultural Centre, Chatham-Kent Museum, Thames Art Gallery, and ARTspace, will be closed Friday, April 15 and Monday, April 18. The Milner House and the Ridge House Museum remain closed due to COVID-19.
Entegrus and Public Utilities Commission: Entegrus and the Public Utilities Commission will be closed. The emergency call number is 519-352-6300.
The office of Fleet Services (PABC) will be closed on Friday and Monday.
Health and Family Services Building: The Health and Family Services building will be closed on Friday, April 15 and Monday, April 18, including the offices of Employment and Social Services, Housing Services, Child Care and Early Years, and Public Health. The Employment Resource Centres will be closed Friday, April 15 and Monday, April 18, and will reopen for virtual appointments on April 19. Virtual appointments can scheduled by calling 519-436-1123 during normal business hours.
Emergency Rapid Rehousing Program: During the evening, on weekends, and on holidays, please call the afterhours Homeless Response Line at 519-354-6628 for homeless emergencies within Chatham-Kent.
EarlyON: All EarlyON programs are closed Friday, April 15 and Monday, April 18.
Libraries: All branches of the Chatham-Kent Public Library will be closed Friday, April 15 and Monday, April 18. Branches with opening hours on Saturdays will be open on Saturday, April 16. Administration offices will be closed.
Public Health King Street: Public Health King Street, located at 177 King St. E., Chatham will be closed Friday, April 15 and Monday, April 18. Essential after-hours Public Health services are available by calling 1-866-446-8207.
Provincial Offences Court: The Provincial Offences Court will be closed Friday and Monday will re-open on Tuesday, April 19 at 8:30 a.m. Please note that during office closures fines can continue to be paid on-line at www.paytickets.ca
Pools – Blenheim Gable Rees Rotary Pool and Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool will be closed Friday, April 15 and Sunday, April 17. Both pools will be open regular hours on Monday, April 18 with additional Rec Swims added to the schedule. Please visit www.chatham-kent.ca/recreation for more information.
Arenas: Arenas: All arenas are closed Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Blenheim Arena and Chatham Memorial Arena will be open for scheduled rentals on Easter Monday but all other arenas will be closed.
Riverview Gardens: Reception and administrative offices will be closed Friday, April 15 and Monday, April 18. Nursing staff can be reached 24/7 by calling 519-352-4823.
Waste and Recycling: Collection services will only be affected by Good Friday (April 15). Those residents who would normally receive curbside collection on Friday, April 15 will receive it on Saturday, April 16. There are no collection changes for the week of April 18 (Easter Monday). Refer to the 2022 Recycling and Waste Collection Guide for further details.
Transfer Stations: The Harwich and Wallaceburg Transfer Stations will be closed Friday April 15 but will be open Monday, April 18. All other transfer stations will be open regular hours.
Leaf and Yard Depots: All Leaf and Yard Depots will be closed Friday April 15.

Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Services Altered for Good Friday and Easter Monday
Some health care services offered at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance’s Chatham and Wallaceburg sites will be altered on Good Friday, April 15, 2022 and Easter Monday, April 18, 2022.
During the statutory holidays, some outpatient diagnostic tests will take place. Patients with scheduled diagnostic tests are advised to attend their appointments. These departments will also be staffed to meet the needs of inpatients and emergencies.
Ambulatory Care Services, Outpatient Rehabilitation Services, Pre-Surgical Screening Services, Diabetes Education Centre, the TIA and CAD Clinics, Pulmonary Function Lab, Outpatient Lab Services, Health Records and Patient Appointment Offices will be closed on Friday, April 15, 2022 and Monday, April 18, 2022.
The Chatham-Kent Mental Health and Addictions Program Outpatient Department will be closed on Friday, April 15, 2022 and Monday, April 18, 2022. The Rapid Access to Addiction Medicine clinic will be closed on Friday, April 15, 2022 and Monday, April 18, 2022. Elston Pharmacy, located at the Chatham Site, will be closed on Friday, April 15, 2022 and Monday, April 18, 2022.
The Oncology/Chemotherapy Department will be closed on Friday, April 15, 2022 and Monday, April 18, 2022.
The Business Office and Cashier’s Office will be closed on Friday, April 15, 2022 and Monday, April 18, 2022. Please note there are two bill changers in the building to accommodate change for coin. A drop box is located beside the Cashier window for drop off of payment in a sealed envelope when the Cashier office is closed.
Hemodialysis Care will be open on Friday, April 15, 2022 and Monday, April 18, 2022.
The COVID-19 Assessment Centre, located at the 10 Grand Avenue plaza in Chatham will be open on Friday, April 15, 2022 and Monday, April 18, 2022.
The Emergency Departments at the Chatham and Wallaceburg sites will remain open 24 hours daily.
