At its annual meeting held on Thursday, June 23, 2022, Chatham-Kent Health Alliance’s (CKHA) volunteer Board of Directors welcomed new Board member, Susan Ruth.
Hospital officials say Ruth is a retired pharmacist with extensive experience as a health care executive and volunteer governor.
She has over 30 years of successful experience in clinical and business management, operational and strategic development.
Ruth has received recognition consistently for performance excellence and her contributions to health care.
Her strengths are strategic planning, risk management and quality control.
Previously, Ruth was a member and Chair for the Board of Directors of a not-for-profit Board managing McCormick Home and Wellspring London.
“We are pleased to welcome Ms. Ruth to our Board of Directors and look forward to working with her,” said Alan Wildeman, Chair, CKHA Board of Directors, in a media release.
“Her knowledge and skill set will be a great addition to our Board and guiding CKHA in its delivery of safe, high quality care.”
In addition to Ruth, the following individuals’ terms were renewed for a three-year term: Greg Aarssen, Robert Dye, Deborah Crawford.
The following individuals were renewed for a one-year term: Brian Glover, Jack Carroll.

CKHA is also pleased to present its 2021/22 Annual Report, “Right on the Roadmap.”
The report highlights the hospital’s accomplishments over the past year and the progress made in Year One of the organization’s 2021-24 Strategic Plan “Cultivating Wellness Together.”
