Two men arrested for assault
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night at 9:19 p.m., police began investigating an assault complaint.
Police learned the victim met two men to sell them a piece of furniture.
The two men refused to pay and assaulted the victim.
The victim sought medical attention for the injuries.
The two men were located and arrested.
A 16-year-old Wallaceburg man and a 44-year-old Wallaceburg man were charged with assault.
They were transported to police headquarters and later released with conditions and a future court date.
Man arrested for impaired driving
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 10:20 p.m., emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle collision on Queens Line near Dillon Road in Raleigh Township.
The vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree and rested on the highway’s south side.
The driver and lone occupant sustained injuries from the collision and was transported to the hospital for medical attention.
Police spoke with the driver after receiving treatment and believed he had been driving while under the influence of alcohol.
The man underwent breath tests and was arrested.
A 21-year-old Chatham man has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.
He has been released with conditions pending a future court date of September 6, 2022.
Woman arrested for impaired driving
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Shortly before 2 a.m., police responded to a report of an impaired driver on St. Clair Street in Chatham.
Police arrived on the scene and located the woman.
Police believed she had been driving while under the influence of alcohol and was arrested.
She was transported to police headquarters for further breath tests.
A 41-year-old Wallaceburg woman has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.
She has been released with conditions pending a future court date of September 6, 2022.
