Man breaches release conditions
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On August 10, 2022 the man was released from custody with several conditions.
One of those conditions stated that he was not to communicate with any member of a specific family in Wheatley.
On September 12, 2022 the man texted a member of the family, contrary to his release conditions.
Last night, police located the man and he was arrested. The 25-year-old man, of no fixed address, has been charged with failing to comply with his release conditions. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Man charged with failing to comply
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On May 20, 2022 the man was released from Court with several conditions.
One of those conditions stated that he was not to attend Walmart in Chatham.
Last night, the man attended the store and was confronted by the Loss Prevention Officer.
The man left the store prior to police arrival, however was located a short time later.
The 45-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with his release conditions.
He was released pending a future court date of October 24, 2022.
Family dispute leads to arrests
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Shortly after 7 p.m. last night, police responded to a disturbance at a residence in Wallaceburg.
Through investigation, police learned that the man and woman had been communicating, without the use of a third party for child access, regardless of court imposed conditions.
The 26-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with two counts of facilitating a breach.
The 29-year-old Wallaceburg woman was arrested and charged with two counts of failing to comply with her release conditions.
Both were released pending a future court date of October 24, 2022.
Break and enter in Chatham
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime between Monday at 9:30 p.m. and Tuesday at 9 a.m. unknown suspects forced their way into a business on St. Clair Street and stole Canadian and Jamaican money, liquor, a laptop and printer.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime between Monday at 4 p.m. and Tuesday at 9 a.m. unknown suspects forced their way into a shed at a property on Gesner Line.
Police continue to work with the business owner to determine what, if anything, was stolen.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Just before 4 a.m. this morning, police responded to an alarm at a business on Grand Avenue East.
Through investigation, police learned that unknown suspects forced their way into the business, causing about $1,000 damage.
Police continue to work with the business owner to determine what, if anything, was stolen.
