Wallaceburg’s Lisa Seys was the winner of the Wallaceburg Minor Hockey Association Mega-Jackpot 50/50 Raffle, which was drawn on December 23, 2022.
Seys won $43,575, as the total pot was $87,150.
“Lisa says she’s ‘still a little dumbfounded’ after receiving the call this morning,” Wallaceburg Minor Hockey officials said on social media.
“We’re sure the Seys family will be having themselves the Merriest of Christmas’s.”
Wallaceburg Minor Hockey officials also thanked everyone who participated in this year’s raffle, which started back in the fall.
“The support is very much appreciated as we work hard to keep hockey affordable for families today and into the future,” Wallaceburg Minor Hockey officials say.
“This also allows us to keep up the work in bringing special events to our communities… after all its more than just what happens on the ice.”
A total of 139,291 tickets were sold during the raffle.
