The remainder of the former Target building is undergoing a major redevelopment this summer.
Municipality of Chatham-Kent officials say Brad-Lea Meadows has announced that Sephora, The Brick, and Ardene will be the first businesses moving into the newly renovated spaces over the course of the next few months.
Both The Brick and Ardene are relocating to the Thames-Lea Plaza from their current locations at 990 Richmond St. and the Downtown Chatham Centre mall, respectively, and will be joined by Sephora, a world-renowned personal care and beauty supply retailer.
“We are excited to welcome Sephora to our community, and The Brick and Ardene to their new locations” said Dean Bradley, President of Brad-Lea Meadows, in a media release.
“Their presence will not only provide Chatham-Kent residents and visitors with convenient access to exceptional products but also create job opportunities within our growing community. We look forward to the positive impact these new stores will bring to our vibrant municipality.”
Chatham-Kent is working diligently to become more and more attractive for both small business and big brand name investments, said Mayor Darrin Canniff.
“The addition of Sephora to CK’s retail lineup moves us closer to establishing Chatham-Kent as a shopping destination,” Mayor Canniff said, in a media release.
“By creating a thriving retail environment that meets the diverse needs of our community members and visitors, we’re not only keeping dollars in CK, we’re keeping people here, employees here, and families here.”
This is just the first phase of development at this location.
Brad-Lea Meadows will also be adding several sites for restaurants in what is currently the parking lot to further compliment the retail offerings.
In addition, there is a 19,000 square foot space still available within the newly renovated space.
The exact opening dates of Sephora, The Brick and Ardene are slated for early fall, with more details to be announced in the coming months.
