Walpole Island Wild reveal new logo

The Walpole Island Wild have revealed their brand new logo.

“With the unwavering support of Walpole Island Chief and Council, the Walpole Island Wild Board of Directors encourage you to brace yourselves as we proudly unveil the extraordinary logo for our hockey club,” the team posted on social media.

“Countless hours of dedication and creativity have been poured into crafting a design that exudes pure perfection. We owe a massive debt of gratitude to the incredibly talented Chelsea Miskokomon, who collaborated with us to bring this awe-inspiring artwork to life.”

The team added: “Prepare to be blown away as we reveal the symbol that will epitomize the spirit, power, and passion of the Walpole Island Wild. It’s time to embark on an exhilarating journey together, as we conquer the ice and leave an indelible mark in the world of hockey.”

The Junior ‘C’ hockey team announced on April 4, 2023, that the Wallaceburg Thunderhawks would be moving to Walpole Island First Nation starting next season.

It was announced last July that the Thunderhawks were sold to Walpole Island First Nation.

The Wild are also hosting a Prospect Camp on June 11, 2023 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Mooretown.
