Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) has announced Aaron Ryan, Vice President, Performance & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at CKHA, will assume the role of Interim President and CEO effective June 24, 2024.
Hospital officials say Ryan will fulfill the executive leadership role until the recruitment process to find CKHA’s next President and CEO concludes.
During this transitional period, Ryan will also continue his CFO responsibilities.
Ryan brings a progressive employment history and over 16 years of healthcare leadership experience.
Currently, as VP of Performance & CFO, he is responsible for the leadership and direction of Finance, Procurement, Decision Support, Planning, Capital Planning, Health Records, Facilities and Support Services, Diagnostic Imaging, Laboratory Services, and Pharmacy.
In addition, with the movement towards Ontario Health Teams, he is responsible for working with other organizations and stakeholders to establish and sustain partnership opportunities.
Before returning to CKHA in 2019, Ryan was the Director of Financial Services at Windsor Regional Hospital.
At CKHA, he previously held the Director of Finance and Decision Support role from January 2013 to September 2015.
During his time at CKHA as Director, he developed several collaborative relationships both within the organization and across the broader community.
Previous to his first role at CKHA, Ryan held the position of Director of Finance at the former Erie St. Clair Community Care Access Centre.
Ryan is a graduate of the Odette School of Business, University of Windsor.
He completed his Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2002 and completed his Master’s in Business Administration in 2009.
Ryan is designated as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA).
CKHA’s Board of Directors continues to work closely with executive search firm Miram Beckers Inc. during its President and CEO recruitment.
Utilizing an executive search firm ensures that CKHA receives specialized knowledge and guidance throughout the recruitment process for its next top leader.
The organization looks forward to updating the community as its executive recruitment process concludes, hospital officials added.
