Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Shortly after 6 p.m., police were dispatched to a residence for an unwanted party.
Police located a 43-year-old male inside and placed him under arrest for being unlawfully present in that residence.
During the arrest the male assaulted the officer.
The male was further charged with Assault police and was transported to police headquarters, where he was held for a bail hearing.
