OPP officials allege: Transport truck fire closes Highway 401 to Westbound traffic.
On December 16, 2024, at 10:17 p.m., members of the Lakeshore Detachment Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Lakeshore Fire Rescue responded to the Westbound lanes of Highway 401 between Puce Road and Manning Road in the Municipality of Lakeshore for the report of a transport truck that caught fire.
There were no injuries reported.
All westbound lanes were closed as crews worked to put the fire out and remove the truck from the roadway, the highway has since been reopened.
