OPP officials allege: The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Chatham-Kent Detachment has charged an individual following a traffic stop.
On March 21, 2025, at approximately 3:05 a.m., a member of the OPP stopped a passenger vehicle travelling westbound on Highway 401 near Dillon Road, Municipality of Chatham-Kent after the vehicle failed to move into another lane while passing a tow truck that was in the process of removing a disabled motor vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, a 28-year-old from Scarborough was charged with:
– Fail to move into another lane for emergency vehicle or tow truck – if safe to do so
The OPP remind drivers and members of the public to respect our communities, comply with all laws and not jeopardize the safety of our citizens or our neighbourhoods with risky, illegal, and dangerous actions.
