OPP officials allege: An individual faces multiple charges following a traffic stop in the town of Wyoming.
On June 17, 2025, just before 7:45 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Confederation Line, east of Ketter Way, for a Highway Traffic Act (HTA) violation.
As a result of the investigation, an individual was taken into custody without incident.
Police seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, Canadian currency and other offence-related property.
A 41-year-old of London, has been arrested and charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) and Criminal Code with the following offences:
– Possession of a schedule I substance for purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
– Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
– Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court (two counts)
The accused was held pending a bail hearing, remanded into custody, and is set to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on June 23, 2025, in the City of Sarnia.
A court-ordered publication ban is in effect.
