Entegrus is actively working to address an equipment failure “that may affect the power supply” to approximately 800 residential customers in Ridgetown.
“We are asking residents to conserve their electricity usage to help maintain system stability,” Entegrus officials say.
“One of the stations supplying Ridgetown was severely damaged by an animal contact and taken out of service. Entegrus installed a Mobile Unit Substation “MUS” to support the Ridgetown load while a replacement part was being fabricated for the damaged station. Complete repair of the Ridgetown station is scheduled for this week.”
Entegrus officials added: “Saturday’s outage was due to equipment failure related to the backup MUS. While Entegrus is working to restore the Ridgetown substation we are asking for the community’s support to avoid further potential outages.”
