Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On August 4, 2025, the Chatham-Kent Police Service conducted a routine traffic stop where a driver, a 43-year-old male from Dover Centre, was suspected of being impaired by drug.
Officers issued a Standard Field Sobriety Test (SFST), which the driver failed.
The individual was arrested and transported to headquarters for further testing conducted by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE), which confirmed impairment.
Search incident to the arrest officers located a small quantity of suspected crystal methamphetamine in the vehicle.
As a result, the individual was also charged with the following:
– Possession of a Controlled Substance
He was later released with a scheduled future court date of August 14, 2025.
