OPP officials allege: An illegal cannabis dispensary operating in London has been shut down and one person has been charged.
The Ontario Provincial Police-led Provincial Joint Forces Cannabis Enforcement Team, along with London police, began investigating the unauthorized dispensary—operating under the name “Natural Unity”—in July 2024. Police say the business was not authorized by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario or Health Canada.
On July 23, 2025, officers executed a search warrant at the location, seizing illegal cannabis products valued at approximately $47,000, along with $1,500 in Canadian currency believed to be proceeds of crime.
The storefront has been closed under an Interim Closure Order issued under the Cannabis Control Act. Unauthorized entry into the premises may result in criminal charges.
A 22-year-old London resident has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime, possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling, and possession of illicit cannabis. The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in London on September 5.
