OPP investigating attempted break-in in St. Clair Township

OPP officials allege: The Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is asking for the public’s assistance following an attempted break-in and mischief at a residence in St. Clair Township.

On Aug. 3, 2025, officers responded to a report of an incident on Courtright Line near Greenfield Road in the community of Courtright. Police determined that between 9 p.m. on Aug. 2 and 7 a.m. on Aug. 3, an unknown individual went to the home, attempted to gain entry, and caused damage to property outside the residence.

Investigators have released a description of the individual as a female, approximately 20 to 30 years old, with a heavy build and brown hair. At the time, she was wearing a red T-shirt, black leggings and was carrying a light-coloured plaid blanket. A photograph has been provided by police for reference.
