Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 24-year-old Chatham man is facing charges after police say property was damaged during a domestic dispute Tuesday evening.
Chatham-Kent police say they were called to a residence in Chatham around 6:30 p.m. for reports of an altercation. Officers learned a verbal dispute had occurred between a 24-year-old woman and the accused.
Police say when the woman returned home after leaving the residence, she discovered damage to the interior of the residence along with personal property belonging to her.
The accused was located a short time later and arrested. He has been charged with two counts of mischief under $5,000 and was held for bail.
