Sarnia Police Service officials allege: The Sarnia Police Service, Criminal Investigations Division, is seeking the assistance of the public in identifying a male in connection with an investigation which commenced on Sunday, August 24th, 2025.
The Sarnia Police Service would like to identify this male as part of a sexual assault investigation where a 16-year-old girl was the victim.
Around mid-afternoon, the victim was walking to the library in the area of Veterans’ Park when she was approached by a black male who began complimenting her.
This male grabbed the victim, pulled her in close and rubbed his genitals against her.
He then kissed the victim and began to fondle her breasts and buttocks.
The victim attempted to enter the library to seek another adult for protection; however, the library was closed and she was unable to get inside.
Despite this, the victim managed to get away from this male.
The male was last seen leaving the area, driving a silver/teal Ford Fusion.
The male may also have a large scar on his left hand near his thumb and index finger.
