Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 28-year-old Chatham woman is facing charges after allegedly threatening her former roommate in violation of court conditions.
Around 6 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a Sandy Street residence after a man reported his ex-roommate had contacted him and threatened his life. Police said the complainant provided an audio recording of the threats, and records confirmed the woman was under conditions not to communicate with him.
The woman was later located at an apartment on McNaughton Avenue and arrested. She is charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and failing to comply with an undertaking. Police said she remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
